THE GOOD SEED

Image
Genesis 1:9-10 God spoke: “Separate!
        Water-beneath-Heaven, gather into one place;
    Land, appear!”
        And there it was.
    God named the land Earth.
        He named the pooled water Ocean.
    God saw that it was good.11-13 God spoke: “Earth, green up! Grow all varieties
        of seed-bearing plants,
    Every sort of fruit-bearing tree.”
        And there it was.
    Earth produced green seed-bearing plants,
        all varieties,
    And fruit-bearing trees of all sorts.
        God saw that it was good.
    It was evening, it was morning—
    Day Three.
There is no land mass or vegetable life that does not carry the code of its Creator’s genius. All the earth is filled with life and form that inspires our spirit to consider the One who supplies every good thing.
In the land, water, vegetable harmony we see the power of the seed. A little thing with a germ of life that multiplies and spreads it form in every viable space.
God’s seed is planted in a woman named Mary …

CREATING AN ATMOSPHERE FOR LIFE

Image
Genesis 1:6-8 God spoke: “Sky! In the middle of the waters;
        separate water from water!”
    God made sky.
    He separated the water under sky
        from the water above sky.
    And there it was:
        he named sky the Heavens;
    It was evening, it was morning—
    Day Two.
And thus the atmosphere to support earth’s life is born. The building blocks of water above and water below create an eco-system that refreshes and replenishes the blue planet.
Mary’s water would break as Heaven’s child appeared. A child enters the atmosphere He long ago created. The Creator would fill this planetary atmosphere with His omnipresence.
And when Christ fulfilled his earthly life mission, he returned to Heaven with a promise to send the Holy Spirit who would continue to be God’s creative, communicating presence in the hearts of all who listen. The same Spirit that would bring Jesus back from the dead comes to bring us to life. The Spirit changes the atmosphere around us by brooding over us…

THE CREATOR BECOMES THE CREATED

Image
In the beginning…
Genesis chapter one and John chapter one tell us what happened before the world as we know it existed.

At the start, God created the heavens and the earth. At the start, Jesus was in the Godhead and active in the Creation.
The story of Christ’s birth is a beautiful, divine anomaly when the Creator becomes the Created. The ‘always existing’ Christ of the Godhead becomes wrapped in human form and is born into the Creation that he started. God becomes fully human while remaining fully God.
Six days of Genesis—God’s creative genius being spoken and formed. Six days of the Creator fashioning a Universe with intimate ties to Himself. It starts with a special planet placed in an immeasurable universe.
Genesis 1:1-2 First this: God created the Heavens and Earth—all you see, all you don’t see. Earth was a soup of nothingness, a bottomless emptiness, an inky blackness. God’s Spirit brooded like a bird above the watery abyss.3-5 God spoke: “Light!”
        And light appeared.

WHEN CHANGE IS QUESTIONABLE

Image
When blind men suddenly see, questions get raised. ‘Where is our neighbour and what have you done with him?’

John 9:8 His neighbours and those who had formerly seen him begging asked, “Isn’t this the same man who used to sit and beg?” 9 Some claimed that he was.Others said, “No, he only looks like him.”But he himself insisted, “I am the man.”

When God touches a life deeply there is a transforming effect that may puzzle some. We may expect people to be the way they always were. If they change, we might grow suspicious and doubt their authenticity.
As people debated over the identity of this man, he had to chime in and insist that it really was him.

John 9:10 “How then were your eyes opened?” they asked.11 He replied, “The man they call Jesus made some mud and put it on my eyes. He told me to go to Siloam and wash. So I went and washed, and then I could see.”12 “Where is this man?” they asked him.“I don’t know,” he said.

New creation does not always give us the answer to every question. He…
